ABOUT
Building from over ten amazing years of collective rocking the mic Playa history, we are excited to introduce El Station BRC, the love child of the Camp Porta 501c3 non-profit and the incredible Camp Porta Party who graced Black Rock City (BRC) for 10 sweet years (2014-24).
The El Station BRC theme camp will bring to BRC a one-stop shop of community, refuge, and yes of course, a bit of Playa Insanity to 630:E. Our Burning Man camp will be a waystation of wonderfulness, a perfection of petrol, the favorite of all filling stations – in essence a decommodified 7-11 fully dedicated to community, music and alternative art. It will provide daily rations (coffee, booze and potstickers) to our famished and tired fellow BRC City dwellers and other surprises to boot from its daily open bar!
And because every service station worth a damn has a devious diner as part of the fun, El Station BRC will also be home to the famous Hel’s Diner, a 38 ft, two-story mutant art car serving up some daily Playa misadventures, with groovy tunes, cold beverages, tasty treats and of course a sick slide and some kick-butt fire effects. Yes, the Playa always provides!
Importantly, El Station BRC is an international and diverse creative camp committed to generating fresh ideas and groundbreaking art. Our vision is to unify gender, race, and color through the transformative power of music and art, fostering a global community built on inclusion, creativity, and expression.
CAMP INFRASTRUCTURE
El Station BRC provides a safe and secure sanctity to up to 100 campmates. Our camp dues go towards sharing the cost of the operation of the camp. This includes all that is listed below and a whole lot more.

JOIN WONDERFULNESS
How much is all this Wonderfulness you ask? As you all know, building, managing and striking a BM camp is a HUGE EFFORT that takes the collective commitment of all campmates, both physically while you are on the Playa and monetarily. Camp dues and donations are how we share the cost of operating the camp and we cannot stress how critical camp dues and donations are to making the magic happen.
2025 El Station BRC Camp Dues depend on when you join.
If you want to connect to the power grid we are working very hard to make that happen! If we pull it off, there will be an additional cost depending on how many AMPs you intend to use.
We accept donations using Zelle (info@campporta.org) and Venmo (@campporta). If you are outside of the United States please arrange with the camp lead for an alternate method.
Your camp dues are tax-deductible and because we use the funds right away to prepare for 2025 they are non-refundable and non-transferable. Remember our camp dues and our volunteer time in camp is how we make this amazing camp happen.

Whether it’s for the build crew, for the strike crew, or for daily camp life and operations, every dollar donated goes to making the most amazing f'ing experience ever, including making investments in gathering, shade, cooking and lounging spaces, and providing amazing food, music, gifts and a kick ass Art Car to tear up the Playa.
